Building Regulations

Complying with the Building Regulations is separate from obtaining Planning permission – most building projects must comply with the regulations. These regulations exist to ensure the health and safety of people in and around all types of buildings. Cheshire House Plans will give advice on compliance with the regulations.

The Building Regulations are in place to effectively regulate and monitor the standard of the building works.

Cheshire House Plans will ensure that all the necessary building details and specification will be incorporated into the design of the project, to gain the required approval for Building Regulations.

We recommend a full plans application, this is where the plans and specification are submitted with a fee to the Local Authority. These are then checked by Building Control before an approval can be issued.

When the work commences on site a Building Control Officer will come out and assess the work carried out at stages of the project. An Inspection fee will be charged.

When all the work is complete to the satisfaction of Building Control, they will issue a Completion Certificate

We will submit the building plans to your Local Authority for

Building Regulations Approval.
